This is the second book in the “Booktown Mysteries” series. It was an excellent read and I would suggest the series to any who liked the small town life of New Hampshire, murder mysteries and bookstores. The series seems to have strong characters, a great setting, and a mystery that leaves you guessing until the end.
This book opens with an author signing. New York bestselling author Zoe Carter ends up dead in the washroom and the “Haven’t Got a Clue” mystery bookstore is closed for days. Tricia and her staff help her sister, Angelica, who owns the “Cookery” next door, waiting for permission to re-open. To help open up her bookshop faster, Tricia ‘helps’ the police with the inquiries and ends up endangering herself. Ultimately, the mystery is solved and a surprise ending brings a number of smiles. A great read!
